Cricket player with biggest transformation in this decade (2010-2019)

Posted by Nitin Mahajan on

2010 : He made his debut as a Leg Spinner in all the formats. Took 3 wickets in his 1st ever test match at Lord's.

His electrifying Fielding got a lot of attraction.

HE WAS CONSIDERED AS NEXT SHANE WARNE AT THAT TIME.

2011–12 : Played somewhat as a batsman , played at number 6 for his national team. Got few half centuries to his name in international cricket.

2013 : Got an opportunity to play because of injuries of his teammates being struggling to make his place in the team.

Played as a backup batsman in some test matches and performed well in some extent.

2014 : Scored his first ever test century against their arch-rivals on the home soil and performed very well throughout the series.

Although he performed well , he wasn't able to make his place in the regular playing XI.

But as their captain was struggling with injuries , he got an opportunity and then he never looked back. Scored consistently in the Odi series and got Man of the series award.

2015 : Very very special and great year for him. Won everything he could , individually as well as with the team.

Took over the captaincy of the national team acorss all the formats.

2016–17 : Had a very good individual performance and mixed success with the team.

2018 : A DISASTER IN THE CAREER.

Ball tampering incident took place and suddenly he became a villian in Cricket town.

2019 : After returning from the ban , came back stronger than ever to reclaim the top spot in Test cricket batsmen rankings.

STEVE SMITH.

The transformation :-

Leg Spinner - All rounder - Proper batsman - Captain - Cheater - Proper batsman again - (and probably Captain again).

Thank you!
